We are looking for an experienced PHP developer, preferably one who breathes CodeIgniter as framework, to help us build a store locator system on top of our existing website. Past experience working with Google Maps API is a MUST!
It will need to have all these features:
- Search by address, city or country
- Search by product categories (managable from CMS)
- Featured Retailers, which will always get displayed on top and has their logos shown
- Match to our website's look; HTML, CSS and other assets can be provided as reference
- In each retailer details, icons will be displayed at to show the product categories they carry
For backend, it will have 2 access types:
Admin account
• Add/edit/delete Distributor accounts/logins
• assign list of countries each specific distributor can select, to limit the scope of countries
• Add/edit/delete all store data
• Add/edit/delete product categories
• set icon to each category for front end
• Approve/edit/decline “Featured Retailer” that is submitted by Distributor
• receive email notification for new Featured Retailer
• Search stores by name, state, and/or country
Distributor account
• Add/edit/delete stores
• Add/edit/delete online stores
• Search stores by name, state, and/or country

I have 5+ years experience with CodeIgniter using the framework every day. All my my projects are powered by CodeIgniter.
I have experience with similar projects to this using the Google API in both the backend for processing and front end for map display. Obviously all controlled via a database. Please see link in PM as an example of a store finder I built.
