chron job?

We have a shopping cart written in php that requires a small customization. I think it can be done in a chron job, but not sure. The shopping cart sells flowers that are to be delivered using a drop down box that selects the day for the flowers to be delivered.. example: drop down box list: December 5th December 6th Decenber 7th December 8th etc etc etc Once the customer selects a day, that data ( along with the rest of the order form fields) is saved to a mysql database. Here is the project: Every day at 2pm Eastern U.S. Time. we would like the first day on the list to be deleted, as that day will no longer be available for delivery after 2pm eastern U.S. Time. We can have someone do this manually, each day at 2pm, but would really like a program or script to do this for us. There will only be about 6-10 items in the shopping cart and this will have to be done to each drop down box ( which is a product option field) for each product. We dont care how this is accomplished, just as long as it can be done.
