Wordpress - Speed issues + CPU Over load - Cpanel check

Excessive CPU usage indicates over use of Innodes which means there is a lot of trash, cache, emails etc which need to be cleaned up on your server, I firstly need to know if you tried taking a backup of your current site via cPanel compression technique and if it worked or not, if its not working, it implies we need to do some serious restoration I am online.
