Word Document Table of Contents

Need to add Table of Contents to a 34 page Microsoft Word document. Unfortunately, the Word document is not currently efficiently set up using Headings/Bullets, etc properly to utilize the automatic Table of Contents. The document is very well laid out and numbered with bullets and all, so it could be (and probably should be) first edited to include automatic numbering and bullets and then have a TOC added.
