I am an accountant. I wish to update my current HTML based website and replace it with a more professional looking website, containing the functionality described below. I want it built in in a platform (such as WordPress) which I can update, add additional pages and perform the functions below with basis web design knowledge without using a webdesigner. I am looking for an experienced web designer that can complete this project as soon as possible, so please don’t respond if you don’t have sufficient knowledge or time. Prior to being awarded the job, you will need to read all the “WEBSITE FUNCTIONALITY REQUIREMENTS” below and answer all the questions under the “QUESTIONS FOR THE WEBDESIGNER” section. Please download this document, write your responses directly next to each question below and return this document with your responses. WEBSITE FUNCTIONALITY REQUIREMENTS: 1. The website will have about 9 pages. The content is already written. Can provide the content upon request. 2. I want to be able to write articles and post them on my website. 3. I want to post links to other websites and YouTube videos. 4. I want to post download links for visitors to click and download forms located on another website or on my own website. 5. I would like the website to be template based so that I can add additional pages and edit the existing content with my basic website design knowledge. 6. The information on my website should be searchable. 7. The visitor should be able to share the pages and forms located on my website. 8. I must be able to email links to any of the pages, forms or content located on my website. 9. Some of the web pages will be hidden, but I should be able to email links to these hidden pages which the viewer can read or click and download forms from. 10. The website should be responsive, so it works from a desktop, mobile and tablet devices. 11. The website will be hosted on GoDaddy. Once the website is ready, I will need your help migrating it to GoDaddy. 12. Help with basic SEO. QUESTIONS FOR THE WEBDESIGNER: BEFORE BEING AWARDED THE JOB YOU WILL NEED TO ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS: Download this form and write your responses next to each question. Be specific. 1. Show me links for similar blog-based websites you’ve created. 2. Help me select template and explain the differences between different type of templates. 3. Answer these questions: a. Can I make changes and create content with basic website design knowledge? Show me examples, so I can evaluate the complexity of adding a new page, posting an article, creating a download link and posting videos. b. Will the website theme/template require periodic maintenance or updates? How is this done? Does it cost? Does it have to be done by you or can it be done by anyone? c. Can you help me replace my current basic HTML based website with this new website? What is necessary to do this, and have you done it before? d. How long will it take for you to complete this project, and what will it cost me? e. Are you able to complete all of my requirements above? If not, please specify which.
