Looking for a freelance UI/UX developer to help with a specialized Manufacturing Readiness Assessment Tool currently being developed. The project is mid-way through a 12-month development cycle and has an existing user interface developed through rapid prototyping. The project team believes it is critical to the project to have a delightful user experience, and a short-term set of design activities are proposed to enhance the user experience. Period of Performance: 4-6 weeks, starting as soon as possible. Activities: The core activities are to assist in the interface design of the tool being developed, including the design aesthetic itself as well as some implementation. Specific activities include: o Logo and name design o Custom theming and stylesheet development o Workflow/pageflow review and recommendations o Development of a style guide with fonts, colors, etc. There may be additional activities related to reviewing the larger Software as a Service platform which will be hosting this tool. Location: Chicago IL. It is important to work closely with the project team, and an on-site presence at least three days a week is needed. No travel is required. Requirements: Due to the short duration and small scope of this work, we would prefer an individual freelancer, but would be willing to consider working with individual talent through a larger agency. Interview and portfolio review are prerequisite to hire. Specific competencies sought are: · User Interface/User eXperience Design · HTML/CSS · Interaction design · Graphic design Additionally, any of the following is a plus: · Responsive & adaptive design · Usability testing · Javascript · Human computer interaction
