Seeking a designer to create new, fresh designs for plug in night lights. Night light dimensions typically are about 4.5"H x 3.5"W x 1.75" D, and use AC plug in power with US plug, 110 volts. Night lights are typically purchased by women, ages 21-75, and are used to decorate home, living areas, bathrooms, kitchens, hallways, bedrooms, utlity rooms, garages, etc. Night Light designs can be classified as decor, novelty (fun, kids, color changing, etc), Basic, or utility. Night Lights are primarily LED based, with white LEDs most common, and blue and color-changing, as next most common. Night light designs should be appropriate for sell to mass markets such as Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Lowes, etc.
While there are constraints regarding certifications and size, I am looking for innovative, creative, and fun concepts. If needed, we can start with illustrations, get approval, and then move to 2D and then 3D modelling.

This sounds like so much fun! I will apply the same design process that I teach in my class. First I will provide pages of low-detail thumbnails. Your input will decide the direction and fill the in the details. I will provide precise CAD models presented in photo-realistic renderings. It this point, I can provide 1-3 models a day depending on how many changes you require. I can simulate and demonstrate different lighting effects with the software I use.
Most of all, I would enjoy this project. I guarantee the highest level of creativity and productivity.
P.S. In college (Industrial Design - Philadelphia University) I was asked to design and create 12 lamps in a weekend. I spent 18hrs on the project, but I have photos that document my designs (available on request).
