Hey! I understood what you are trying to make. We can use a DHT22 for temperature and humidity related data and all this can be controlled with ESP8266. We can make a webserver or use an api or use MQTT for data logging with ESP. I would like to know whether you want a specific detector for co2 or the pollutants in the gas? Also, I would like to know your budget for the hardware implementation of your project.
