I have written both javascript and python before. Of course I'm not familiar with the Autodesk Softimages scripting library, but I've seen there is plenty of documentation. This is why I think it would be an easy task to port the script. I need however to take a look at it before accepting to start working to see how long it is. Also you haven't mention what is the script supposed to do.
