I purchased this chat script and installed on a sub-domain of our Ruby on rails app. I am trying to customize the PHP dating script so a user is logged in automatically when they login to the main app website Ex. User logs into N2ME Account > Clicks link for [login to view URL] They will automatically be logged into their "dating app" account. All account info and details can be separate from main n2me user account. Basicly user just logs in to n2meweb and can go to dating app profile without seperate login. Almost like a stand alone app within our website. I currently have the PHP dating app hosted here: [login to view URL] This is URL for main app: [login to view URL] Questions: Could we just authenticate user when the login to our main app, then leave user account in dating app the same? Almost like a sub account. Is this a good option: 1. disable login on chat app 2. only use n2me-web to login 3. share secret token, so chat app can see the same session on n2web app 4. chat app will have the code to check and create user if user hasn't existed For example a user signs in with there main N2me account and can click link to dating app on subdomain and still be logged in. I can assist if needed with Ruby side of things, I need someone who can help with PHP part. This will lead to additional projects for the right person. My idea is to have cookies for both the websites and check the cookies that exist and can handle single login for both the website, but from ruby point of view you need to help me creating the cookie. Hello My name is Danny and I would like to help you with this project. Does the ruby site store information in a database? Is the dating site using a database or file stored sessions? Does the main site have all the required information for the dating site? For example, I see the dating app collects the full name, age as well as gender, does the main site collect this info as well? If not, the account on the dating site would be incomplete. Otherwise it would be possible to create a shared login. I have more than 10 years of experience with PHP, MySQL, Linux and web development in general. While I have set a deadline of 10 days on my bid, I can start right away. I just like to give myself extra time in case any complications arise even though I don't anticipate any. Thank you, Danny
