bbPress Top Voted Frontpage

I have a political site that's getting 3K-10K views per day. It's a site where I basically repost news and youtube videos in relation to a particular niche. There seems to be a lot of community involvement. I already have Buddypress installed. However, I want a frontpage of user generated posts much like the www.DailyPaul.com. You can use it for reference. I think someone could use bbPress for the forum and then start with the code from a plugin like GD Star Rating to make that happen. However, I want to have a simply upvote or downvote option, not a star rating. I want the frontpage to consist of all the top forum posts from the previous few days and update automatically. I want to be able to change it so that if the site becomes more popular I go from showing posts from the past week to the past day. Unfortunately I also need to be able to remove things from the frontpage in case trolls start submitting things I don't want to the site. I hope that's clear enough.
