Automate XML Download to Access Database

UPDATE: Source Code now included in ZIP file. A prior project developed a VBA .Net tool to download electricity price and load data from the California Independent System Operator Website ([login to view URL]). It was close to working, but the coder could not figure out why it worked on his machine but not on our computers (Office 2003 and Office 2007). Also, the website where the data is obtained changed on April 1st, so the XML queries need some redesign. WILL NEED CODER TO TEST AND DEBUG SOFTWARE FULLY. We need a product that works without headaches. There are 1,000s of data points, but we are interested in just a few, Day Ahead and Hour Ahead prices, interval prices and AS prices each for about 10 zones as well as System Demand. The XML strings need to be defined exactly, and each type of data has different options that need to be selected. I can help define the data and XML strings, but will expect coder to look at CAISO XML documentation and build in the correct field and options. ONLY 30 DAYS OF DATA MAY BE DOWNLOADED AT ONCE, NEED TO COMBINE MULTIPLE DOWNLOADS INTO ONE FILE. We also use SAS and are open to using .CSV files or alternative database storage options. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables): a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
