I am setting up a server in one of my client's offices. This machine will be establishing a PPTP VPN connection back to my office. Because the VPN connection works in both directions this allows me to connect to the server from my office. Here is the problem. I want to isolate my client's network from the server. I want users on their network to connect to my server and of course I need to be able to connect to the server but I don't want the server (or myself) to have access to the rest of the client's network. The reason for this is security. If my server is compromised I want to know that nothing nasty can reach my client's network. The other complication is that I want to use my client's internet connection to establish the VPN connection. To do the above I want to use a router like an internal firewall. This might be similar to what would be done with a DMZ.
## Deliverables
I need someone who knows a lot about routers to give some advise via email or chat as to how I might achieve the above. I currently have a Netgear FR114 and also RT314 router. I would limit this to a maximum of 2 hours of support.
