Revisions to .Net/VB Report Navigation Tool

We have an existing program designed in .Net/VB that allows individuals in the Mental Health field to automatically generate Report Writing text during an assessment interview. We are needing about eight important revisions at this time as we recently lost our programmer. We anticipate the possibility of a longer-term relationship with the winning bidder provided the time and efficiency of this project goes well. I've attached a 15 day trial of our existing program for review of our needed changes. We are very much hoping to have these revisions done in 30 days or less. Future projects would not be required on such a short time line. The Assessment Navigation Tool (hereafter ANT) utilizes an Access database. Our needed changes include: 1) Changing the number of allowable responses from 4 to unlimited. 2) Allow importing (but not exporting) of new templates without disrupting existing patient records stored in the program. This will allow us to distribute new templates as we generate them. 3) Create a simple "Presenting Problem" section. 4) Create a simple interface for backing up/restoring database. 5) Eliminate line spacing in one section (quick fix). 6) Allow sorting of questions in Admin section by gender. 7) Allow ability to create a new note on an existing patient. 8) Revise the Medications Section. ## Deliverables Here's a more detailed update on what we want changed. The username and password on the program are both "admin" It is attached below. 1. Expand allowable number of responses to questions to limitless. (It currently stands at four) 2. Allow templates to be imported into existing versions of ANT. We are not wishing to allow exporting by users as they could then share their templates. Instead, we wish to control the flow of templates (within reason) by issuing periodic updates that allow new templates to be added while not disturbing existing patient data. 3. Add a “Presenting Problem?? section that would allow a bank of pre-written paragraphs from which to choose. It would work similarly to other sections such as recommendations but would appear before the Questions Section. 4. Create a simple backup/restore database feature. Many of our users will not be computer savvy and need a simple way of clicking to backup and restore. This would essentially allow them to choose where they wanted to store their backup or where they would like to restore from. 5. Eliminate the line of space after each recommendation when it is added to the report. 6. When adding questions/answers in the Admin section, I would like to be prompted for 1 of 3 places to sort each one: male, female, neutral. This is because many of our statements will require duplicates for gender (example: he met all developmental milestones; she met all developmental milestone). For simplicity, when choosing statements to add to a template, we need to have all of the gender statements grouped together. 7. We want the ability to open an existing patient and easily create a “progress note?? That is, let’s say I have a report on Jane Doe, but now I wish to progress note a therapy session using a “progress note?? template. I could select the patient’s name, select progress note, and have access to all of the progress note questions. A second component of this would involve the necessity of not including Headings such as diagnosis unless specifically chosen. As it is currently, the entire report populates with headings prior to anything being added in that section. 8. Allow medications section to ‘bank’ a list of meds under categories created by the user. Example: The user banks the names of medications for depression, medications for anxiety, and medications for ADHD. Alternately, the user wishes to categorize by class (SSRI, SNRI, etc) The username/password are both admin. This program currently runs with a security feature to prevent installation on multiple machines without an authorization code. ANT must continue to run effectively this way following revisions.
