Easy coding work, search and present results from db

Short explanation: I have a paid real estate script that let people/advertisers to sign up and register their services along with their US state and city details, saved as a post in the database. From the front end there is a search function that doesn't work today. I would like to correct this search function so people can search with wild cards and list by cities (actually, this is for one state only). I cannot give the link here, but for a serious coder I will give a link. The details are stored in the db, "just" need someone to be able to present this. I list this work as a fixed price and sets a maximum that can be discussed. Could you please help me?
