I am looking for someone who is knowledgable on FreeBSD and uses the 'ee' editor which comes with freebsd. This editor is a terminal editor, like pico, but far better, but not as advanced as vi, so its medium, perfect for my needs.
Well currently the editor is only available on FreeBSD (comes as part of the plain operating system) and there is a package and source available for OpenBSD's port of it which is almost the same (they just changed the hot keys some).
I am wanting someone to port this kick-ass editor to Linux.
Specifically must run on atleast: slackware, redhat, debian, etc.
I am not a linux fan or anything, but some of the stuff I do for administrative client work, is on linux machines and I hate pico and vi is too complicated for simple file editing for my likeness.
I do believe on both OpenBSD and FreeBSD's ee code is written in C and/or C++.
