Issue with Facebook Login for the Web with the JavaScript SDK this is an old project that was never finished. i have Facebook login on the site which was installed by a developer 1 year before. It used to work but after a few code modifications that were done it stopped working. to test go here: [login to view URL] 1) first click regsiter to signup for a regular account. then login and you will see success message in left. 2) logout 3) login using facebook. it logs into FB but not into my userarea. i think the problem is that the session ends after login.

Hi, It looks to me there are some logical errors and possible coding errors. This is how i handle social login/registration - Use Case 1 - New User - User decides to log in with Facebook. - The user gos through the App auth process, user is now logged into the app - The app registers the new user into the DB. - App asks the user to supply additional information missing User Case 2 - Returning site user - User has registered previously (not socialy) - User decides to login with facebook - The user gos through the App auth process, user is now logged into the app - The app recongnizes the user has registered before - The app ask the user to link their accounts
