Description: This project is for the creation of an Online Multiplayer Paintball Game. The new game will be “modeled?? after a current online paintball game that I own and operate. The new game needs gameplay/graphics similar to 'age of empires 2' in terms of the overhead 3d view. The game needs to be programmed in a language that will support a minimum of 100 players being online at the same time so that game play is not affected. A very high level of involvement must exist between the coder and myself. This is a game that has a lot of options for players. I will try to cover the basics in this description. There will be nonpaying players, paying players, silver members, gold members, platinum members, diamond members, and then administrators. I will need a command to change the status of players if they become a paying player, or buy a membership. Memberships will last 4 weeks and give characters extra features such as additional weight and locker space. After registering, players will be a level 5. They will need 100 “splats?? to reach level 6. As they gain levels, they can carry more weight. Each time they gain a level, the number of splats required to reach the next level will increase by 25. Players can go as high as level 9 without paying and continue playing for free forever. Players wishing to go higher can purchase a “level Up?? from me. A level up opens the next set of levels (IE a level 9 who purchases a level up can now ‘splat’ his way up to level 14.) I will need a command that will allow me to process payments for players as they purchase them. Paying players (level 10+) will be able to choose from a variety of ‘classes’ of players. Each class will have distinct strengths/weaknesses. I will need graphics created to resemble grass, trees, water, hay bales, etc. The I will need another set of graphics created to resemble paintball air bunkers. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform The game needs to be able to run on windows 95- windows xp. A mac version would be nice. We run our current game on a windows based dedicated server. I do not care if the game runs on a windows/linux based server, whichever will give it more speed.
