auction website scraper

I need a "scraper" or miner application to routinely access particular portions of the [login to view URL] site and retrieve the auction number, ending date, current bid, number of bidders, and other common fields from ongoing auctions. The program must allow the user to enter and store a list of identifying codes that will be used to search the auctions. These codes might be VIN numbers, Lot numbers, or any other identifying text. The program should begin at a URL provided by the user and scan down all linked subpages, looking for a page that contains the search text. When a matching auction page is found, the program should save the key details about the auction in a database file. The program must have the option to accept multiple search URLS (to look at multiple auction categories) and must be able to repeat on a schedule or be called by the Windows scheduler to search at regular intervals. This project is strictly to get the basics of such a scraper working with possible expansion in the future. The user interface can be very basic as long at it allows me to monitor these auctions. The site uses javascript to hide page URLs, which may make this project more difficult (or impossible). Please see the enclosed document for screenshots. *Update: attached zip file of web pages to be scraped. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
