Sir, I worked on a similar type of project in my working place. Where I convert (12v to 3.8 Amp); (5V to 4 Amp). But my current was not stable, it fluctuates a little bit 3.3 Amp to 3.8 Amp. If you give me the opportunity, I dedicatedly research for it and try my best to stable the current.

I can give you the 5 amp power supply in this same price segment and booster will be highly inefficient ,so I suggest you to go for a new power supply ,if interested in 5 amps 12v power supply I can make it

In order to complete the project, you should know what purpose of your requirement. Why not just change your power supply with 12V 5A? But I can design it if you want
