We can do this work in a week. Since storing 1000 images in a database on the phone is not the best way, I assume that the images will be in a database on a server and the app will connect to the server and display the images based on the category. We can also provide space in internet server to host this database (if required). I am not sure if you will require a notification to the user if images are added in a certain category. If you need it, we can manage it as well. We can give a web screen to upload and categorize the images if this does not exist. If could have a brief chat to clarify the additional features you want, it will be great.
