Create an iOS App

Photo Contest App This project is for the creation of a photo contest app for iOS. It is a resolution independent app that properly resizes dependent on the screen size, working on iPhones, iPad Minis and iPads. Only an Administrator can create contests. Multiple contests can be running at the same time. Contest examples are: • Post a photo of you wearing Nike shoes • Post a photo of you sitting on a sports car Each contest has these fields: • Title • Description • Additional Rules • Regional Requirements (Must live in a certain zip code, city, state or country) • Start Date and Time • End Date and Time • One or more graphics • Unique URL • How many free entries can be submitted by one user • How much are paid entries (for entries more than the free ones) • Whether users can see the voting count on the contest • Number of coins for multiple votes • Contest URL Users of the app can browse current contests, see most popular contests and see the contests that they have entered. They are able to post photos to enter contests. When someone browses to a contest, they need to see the rules, be able to learn about the contest and requirements for their photo, and browse all of the photos that have been entered. Some contests will show the number of votes for each photo and be able to sort on that, some will not. And they need to be able to vote on photos. Users of the app can enter photos into a contest and also vote on photos. Voting is as simple as swiping a photo to let left to vote “don’t like” and swiping to the right to vote “like”. The app also will have in-app purchases for buying coins. Each contest may require coins to enter the contest, or require coins to enter the contest multiple times (first entry is free, each additional is a certain number of coins). Each contest may charge someone coins for wanting to vote multiple times in the same contest. The app has push notifications to let users know that there is another contest they might be interested in and to let them know what place their photos are currently in (for example, they are in 3rd place with 500 votes. 1st place has 750 votes). This process is automatic and has the ability for a user to determine which notifications they would like to receive. Each contest runs for a certain number of days and have a specific prize for that contest. Coins may be part of the contest prize. There is a registration process for new users where they are sent a text message for confirmation of their account. The app also have a web component. Each contest has a specific URL for example, [login to view URL], which goes to a webpage describing that contest and encouraging someone to download and install the app. Administrators are able to remove photos that are entered into the contest and send the user a message that their photo has been disqualified. The administrator can also ban users. After posting a photo, users are asked to post their contest pic to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter requesting their friends to vote on it. They earn coins for doing so. The link they post goes to their unique URL going to their contest and showing their photo. That webpage has a link to download the app. Users who don’t use the app for 3 days (this number can be changes by an Administrator) are awarded some coins and get a push notification telling them that they have additional coins to vote and enter contests with. Setup of the number of days and text of the notifications should can be changed by the Administrator. After utilizing the app for a few days the app asks the user to post a review.
