Automatic railway crossing using LoRa

Hello, I have esp32 and LORA modules to test and implement the logic described in your video. The video has explained in detail about the sequence to be followed. What is not clear is that one LORA is near to the GATE which is operating the GATE. The sending LORA is far away in the track? So how can it work when the direction of approach of the train is the reverse side of the "sending " LORA ? Do you have a mock hardware with track/sensors/train test setup to test the code for logic errors?
