Science Fiction Illustrator for Youtube Audio Series

This is a new sci-fi audio series that is presented via YouTube. The series is told like a series of wiki entries, rather than a traditional story. Illustrations are needed for each episode. This is a project that may require a long-term illustrator for a consistent presented style. Pay will increase over time based on overall project success. The illustrator does not need to be greatly experienced, this can be a project to grow into and develop a style unique to it. The creator is also learning. The illustrator should have a baseline knowledge of how to create, upload, and send work digitally that can be used in 1080p video without artifacting, stretching, pixelization, or other common issues arising from transferring images digitally. The illustrator will be presented key concepts, points, and scenes to draw for each episode, the number per episode will vary. Concepts Include (but is not limited to): - Cosmic objects (planets, stars, etc) - Space Stations - Space Ships - Landscapes - A variety of biomes (desert, jungle, arctic, coast, etc) and environments - Cityscapes - Ruins (of cities, spaceships, etc) - Large buildings and structures - Crashes, explosions (e.g. illustrations of a dynamic action) - People (crowds, portraits, candid, etc) - Maps, diagrams General style being looked for is a clean sci-fi look (i.e. near-future Sci-fi), not cyberpunk or gritty. The creator will work closely with the illustrator to develop artwork, and may be given rough sketches to work from at times in addition to detailed text descriptions. --- Interested illustrators should send a basic sketch based on the following description: The Kabremar is a large spinning circular space station in orbit around a desert moon. It is shaped like a hollow cylinder, think a giant flat washer (the shape, not for cleaning clothes). Its diameter is approximately 25km (~15.5 miles) across. It is about 3km in thickness/height (~10,000ft). The ring (non-hollow portion) itself is about 5km wide all around. The center hollow portion is about 20km wide. There are eight evenly distributed 'tubes' coming from the inner ring wall to a cylinder in the center of the station. This cylinder is centered perfectly in the center of the station in all three dimensions in relation to the outer ring. This inner cylinder's dimension are 5km wide by 2km high. The Kabremar is divided into 11 sectors. The first sector is the 'space docks' where space ships (cargo, passenger, etc.) dock into. Ships dock in a similar way that objects dock into the real-world International Space Station, just at a larger scale. This sector is 5km long, and has many attachment points for space vessels of all sizes. The next ten sectors are for residential and commercial usage. They are alternately spaced around the ring, that is, a residential sector, then a commercial sector, then residential, then commercial, and so on. Each sector is 2km wide. Residential sectors have enormous 'sky panes' above each sector (on the 'roof' of the station), or large glass and metal structures that enable views into space from inside. The sky panes go over the entire (2km) sector's ceiling. Residential sectors visually have many small windows present on the outside wall of the station, with many lit up. They are all a consistent size. Commercial sectors do not have sky panes (though there are smaller ceiling panes), and have longer wider windows on the outside wall of the station. The central cylinder is an internal transport hub, command center, and where the station's central power source is located. Take creative liberties with other details (antennas, lighting, cosmic background, etc). The desert moon has a large sea (250km*200km) at its equator completely surrounded by land. The moon is ~2000km wide. It does not need to be in full view in this illustration. No other major cosmic objects should be visible. The entire station should be in frame. More from an angled side view, not from top-down.
