I am looking for an illustrator familiar with Hispanic schools for children's book (preferably San Jose Bay Area). I would expect prospective artist to read story. I will review sample sketches for the story. I will pay $20 per illustration. This would be an ongoing collaboration with multiple illustrations (color and/or sketches). Artists who read the story will get preference for consideration. Your comments on story will tell me if you have read "Emiliano Misses a Recess." A familiarity with Hispanic culture is strongly preferred: that is, the Spanish-speaking culture of Hispanic-Americans in California. Instant replies, while appreciated, suggest you have not had time to read the story. If you have a portfolio, please send samples of your work or a web address where it is displayed. -RR
