Android / iPhone app - send text message

This is intended to be a very simple application, with primarily no real user interface. This application should be launched on start-up and run in the background (does NOT need to be hidden, the user installs it and knows it is present / running). The purpose of this application is very simple : Ping a server address with the mobile device number of the phone. The server will return a short xml (example at the bottom). The phone then sends the text messages that were return from the server. That is it, nothing more, nothing less. The use of this application is to allow a person to send texts from their phone at their request via the server. The server portion of this application is NOT part of the quote, we will handle this separately. To be considered for this project, you must put the word "vital" somewhere in your bid to signify you have actually read the description and cam comprehend English.
