Build a Website

READ THIS FIRST. This is a college assignment. You are not developing a real website. You only need to hit specific requirements and that is it. You are required to develop an online store. That sells generic items in generic categories. You can make them up it could be anything (groceries, electronics, medicine etc) Category 1 - has 3 items inside of it, Category 2 - has 2 items inside of it. Category 3 - has 1 item inside of it. Each item description must consist of: • a relatively small picture • Brand name • Item name • short description, • a price field, • editable quantity field • add to basket button. The website must have these features: 1. Shopping Basket (Must be able to remove items, dynamically update items quantity, must be able to view details of item in the basket, a checkout button) 2. Pseudo Checkout page with total calculated (must be able to remove items and change quantity before checking out. Checkout button clears all items and brings a message that checkout was successful) 3. Ability to browse products (menu) 4. Ability to search products (by name, by category, brand name) 5. Ability to filter items (category, brand name, price range) This is a client side only project (no server side involved).You must use only JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3. Main page displays all the items and you are able to filter them by using checkboxes or make a search on them. Once the item is filtered or found the rest is removed from the page. Filters can be toggled on and off and search can be cleared and whole page goes back to normal. You can add items to basket edit the quantity in the basket (the basket can be displayed on the side of the page). When you press checkout button in the basket it takes you to another page and you can edit items there for the last time before pressing checkout.
