Digitise financial charts into sound

I can write a Matlab function that takes a incoming signal, plots it in the amplitude/time plane and in the frequency/amplitude one, and then records the corresponding sound into mp3 format. I have two full free days this weekend, and I have alredy worked on something similar, so if you want I can give some examples of what I can do. Since I read about the scale free scales and networks I was often thinking about how the music and the steps between its notes is a scale free network, and how it is connected to other scale, such as stock charts, forex rates, energy consumption, etc. I have never have enough motivation to work on this problem, but if you select me on this project that will give me the needed motivation and I think I came out with a nice solution for your proposal.
