Looking for a botanist who may be interested in cultivating bamboo in Northern Africa. I'll pay you based on an award system. If you succeed to grow giant bamboo in Northern Africa over 30ft in length in less than 2 months, I'll reward you.
I'll supply you with seeds and rhizomes removed from a mature grove in India.
I want growth data on the parents and one set of offspring.
I need both parents and offspring to be able to reach such heights. Parents you can use whatever methods you believe will work, offspring will be irrigated only (no added chemicals or hormones), soil types can be alternated and experimented with.
I can create an award for both offspring and parents.
Reason for the project, we want to use bamboo in our engineering and want to determine the fasted method to acquire a tall/mature grove in Northern Africa. We know that bamboo grows to its max height in a few weeks and that max height is based off the maturity of rhizomes. So planting seeds in an irrigated plantation will not get us 30ft bamboo in 2 months, we hypothesize that transplanting the rhizomes from a mature grove can allow us to kick start a mature grove.
