I need an experienced developer who can create a tool, that runs on a raspberry PI or arduino. The tool should work as a virtual printer and catch the print jobs from a connected PC (USB or ethernet). It should work this way: There is a PC or another device, that is currently connected to a Printer directly via Ethernet or USB. Now, you connect the PC with the PI and the PI with the printer. The PC now should think, that he is still connected with the printer that was connected before. So if you send a printjob, the PI creates a PDF file and if set to true in the settings, print this document as well. It is important, that there shouldn't be changed anything on the PC. Then it should identify a user via NFC. If someone holds an NFC card to a connected NFC reader, it should recognize the user, loads his data via an API (api is provided and must not be created in this task) ans see in his settings, if the document must be saved and printed or just saved. This should be visible with LEDS if that saving was successful.

It means you should create a virtual printer driver which will do following: - do print job from PC as a PDF creation - send the created PDF to raspberry - raspberry receive the PDF and send to the printer as real print job - printing done The printer driver name would be the same the default printer driver. Is this what you look for? Let me know

Hi, You need to run cups on your Raspberry Pi. That will take care of the PC. For the NFC, after calling the API to load the data, the data needs to be send to cups. When do you need this delivered ? Let me know. Thanks.

Hi, i have previously worked on helping robot using a raspberry pi 3B+. The robot was autonomous and used sensors to self guide itself from some source to destination. It took command through voice and had pi-camera attached to detect and recognize human face. A robotic arm was used to allow it to hold an object and deliver it to a desired person at destination after recognizing its face. This hands-on experience makes me well suited for this job.
