STM32F746 USART6 RX and TX is connected to RS484 Line drive chip via RE and DE Pins Baud rate is standard 9600 8 data Bits 1 Stop Bit No Parity STM32F746 Discovery has UART HAL Drivers installed and Initialized. Keil MDK 5 RTX Project Code will be supplied already setup with UART Drivers installed and Initialized. To this MODBUS RTU Salve Code can be added. All that is need is for the MOBUS SLAVE to respond to a Request from a MODBUS Master with the Data . When requested. There is no other functionality required. MODBUS Slave is just listing for a request for Data from the Modbus master. Some sample MODBUS Slave Examples are attached which can be ported to the Keil MDK5 RXT project . Testing can be done using MODBUS Simulator or Using Teamviewer on my Board etc

Hi. If I understood correct, you want to implement Modbus RTU protocol to your hardware. A few weeks ago I have finished project which is very similar with your (thermostat with modbus rtu communication, based on stm32f103).
