MS SQL / ASP Data Extraction Project Hi there, Are you a talented MS SQL / ASP guru? If you are, this project may be of interest to you! Quick Overview This project involves the scripting of data extraction from an MS SQL 2000 database in an API specified plain text format which is to be scheduled to upload automatically to a remote FTP server. Each record will also have some images linked to it that will need to be zipped up and sent with the data file. Full Details We have a real estate website which is ASP based and runs from a MS SQL database. In order to provide more advertising for our properties, we need to upload an extract of our property database onto a number of property portals (i.e. property aggregator sites) on a daily basis. To do this, we need a coder to create a script which will automatically extract the MS SQL property database into a pipe delimited file, zip it and then ftp it. To make life a little easier, we already have the necessary components (xstandard zip and Chilkat FTP-2 ActiveX) installed on our servers. This project is for the creation of ONE extracted data feed. If the project is completed satisfactorily, the winning bidder will have the option of creating similar data feeds for approximately another 5 portals – as much of the work will have been done for the first feed, this should be a relatively easy and rewarding job for you. We plan to do a lot of enhancements to our website, and would ideally like to establish a long term relationship with a reliable, competent and trustworthy ASP / MS SQL coder – so this could be the start of a mutually beneficial relationship for both of us (although if you would prefer to do this project as a ‘one off', please still get in touch) You'll find a more detailed project specification attached as a PDF file.
