We have reviewed the requirements posted for this project and following are our recommendations for the project: 1) We recommend using c# with MSSQL 2000 as backend technology for the entire application. 2) Create a separate sub-portal for users who will be able to access it using their login credentials. You could set business rules in the backend to define restricted or complete access to product catalogue to brokers selectively. 3) We can build the front-end of this application using Flash and ASP.net. 4) We can also build the application to dynamically generate PDFs from contents added through the CMS. 5) As regards Newsletter application, we can provide facility to create Newsletters that can be sent by email and/or fax. The application can also track the users who have viewed the newsletters or clicked on links within the newsletter. This will enable you to strategically plan your moves based on links that have been clicked by users. We can build the system to generate RSS feed so that users can directly get the information from the site. 6) The Content Management system that we will build will allow any user to update contents through the portal. We could also have a workflow integrated to get necessary approvals before the content is published to the website. We have extensive experience with Oracle also.
