Hi, As per your description, this POS system should be first made in desktop with java technology. The reason is, first you can easily test it with the online systems and then its mobile version for the android can be made just by pulling the JSON data. So, the mobile POS would also work and this would also be cost effective for your end. I have good knowledge in POS as we have made ERP, CRM, e-commerce solutions and cloud based POS.
