I hope I can explain this. I have a purchased program that works with my databases, both online and on the desktop, comparing the differences in the two. I am easily able to connect to the online database, but am having problems with the desktop database. It seems to have something to do with Windows 7 64 bit, and the MS Access drivers. All of the solutions I have found online are for people who are programming databases. I just need to connect to the database using either OLEDB or ODBC - though the program I have, not with programming. It seems that the 32bit and 64 bit drivers are mixed up as to what folders they are in, or which folder a program will go to. I set up an ODBC connection to the Access database, but when I try to use it, it says it's the wrong architecture. Another error I get has to do with not having Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0 registered on the local machine. Although I can sometimes get some of the info through the OLE connection. Sometimes.
I just need to get this working correctly.
