Data Mining and Research Specialist

We are in need of a data mining and research specialist who can research import and export data, identify markets, information on pricing of those products and provide logical, concise reports of the data. We are seeking a long term, ongoing relationship with a research specialist. Research projects will typically include one product at a time and each project will be paid for individually. Specific areas of interest include: Identify the source company and importing company for a given list of products imported into the US. Research the scope and size of the market for those products including current market size and potential for increase in the market for those products. Identify companies exporting products from the US to European Union countries, other European and West Asian countries and research any restrictions, quotas, etc., for those products by country. Specific examples of research to be conducted include: 1. Research companies in Asia manufacturing, sourcing and exporting cast iron table bases to the US and Canada. Identify the companies importing the cast iron table bases into the US and Canada. Provide data on the US market for cast iron table bases including manufacturers and sellers of cast iron table bases. Research current market for cast iron table bases in the US and potential for increases in the US market for cast iron table bases. Other products if interest that are imported to the US include: Aluminum Table Bases, Stainless Steel Table Bases, Chairs, Wood Drawer Components, Drawer Slides, Ball Bearing Slides and Table Legs. 2. Research chicken and turkey prices in European Union countries, other European and West Asian countries. Provide information on wholesale and retail pricing for chicken and turkey meat products. Identify main players in the market by country. Identify any restrictions, quotas, duties, etc., related to the importation of US poultry products by country. Requirements: 1. Experience in data collection and market research. 2. Experience in data analysis of markets. 3. General understanding of import and export guidelines for various countries. 4. Ability to create logical concise reports of data with backup for research findings. 5. Librarian background would be beneficial as experience in diligent, methodical research capability is needed.
