Greetings, Dwaithe I'm a digital painter currently going to university full time, pursuing my first BFA in painting. I've been studying art traditionally for my entire life and digitally for the last 10 years. I'm fairly new to freelancer.com so I have yet to build up much of a history on the site but I have worked on many projects (both personal and professional) throughout that time. I typically work in Photoshop in a way similar to how I produce my traditional pieces and use a Wacom Intuos 3. My illustrations are done at 300dpi and at a scale of about A4 (though this can vary widely). This means it can typically take a little bit longer than the average digital illustration, but I feel my portfolio speaks to the quality this can bring. I work in a wide range of styles and usually wait until I've read whatever I'm making something for before choosing which to use, as it can greatly impact the emotion I would want to convey to the audience. My name is Adrian Moreno, but i go by the alias ¨Dusty Highway¨ for artistic reasons, this is my first time using ¨freelancer¨ so if my profile is lacking any other information you may need to make a clear decision feel free to let me know. First off i´ll explain a bit of my art background, Ive been drawing for over 7 years now and ive mainly done video game art, comic books/manga, and character design, so i dont have any illustrations to show my skills in children's book, but i feel im up to the task because of my style versatility. In order to give you a more precise date on when i would finish the illustrations (and to give you a fair price for the art) i would need to see the style your looking for (images of other children's books similar to the style you in vision your book) also the specs of the images (resolution/size) The way i would work on each individual illustration is by asking you for a reference image of how you imagine the page, then i´ll begin a rough sketch, send it to you and wait for approval/changes then i´ll continue to the next phase of the drawing, then i´ll show you the drawing in the half way point to see if it needs any major changes, then finalize the drawing and wait for approval before continuing on to the next drawing. Hi dwaithe. I do my illustrations on paper with pencil and then outline them with chinese ink. Scan it, and post processs it with photoshop to add color and fix some things.
