It appears there may be a necessity to join the group at some level in order to have access to certain information that would be needed for the project. If this in indeed the case will that fee be a part of the project costs? Dear Sir, I'm extremely interested to implement such devices, as you want. But have some question. You've mentioned in the attached document that any existing technology for rapid development is preffered and that device should be lowcost. These two recuiremets conflict a bit. Can you please clarify, what is the main optimisation goal? I can propose use of readymade LoRaWan modems and ready GPS modules. It will be faster, but final devices will cost much more. I can propose using only of PHY chips, such as cheap MAX2769 for GPS for example, but it will take a bit more time to implement such a device. We can do it in two stages. First prototype using ready modules, and second stage - replace modules with own monolitic system. I can propose MSP430 MCUs for power efficiency. They are designed for extremely low poer consumption. If you are interested, please, send details of the project.

Assumption: 1. The project will use LoraWAN-based hardware and should be close to the specs of the hardware in the 'The Things Network' listed wifi-ready boards. 2. In a nutshell, this project will be an R&D project which requires a working prototype as deliverable. Development Process: 1. The first phase is to verify the requirements and have an approved scope of work for this project. 2. Hardware sourcing which will require product evaluation and costing. It is strongly suggested to have one unit each from different vendors so the product itself is also evaluated along side with the software development. 3. Third step will be unit coding and blackbox testing of each unit against its recommended software drivers, parameters and operating condition. 4. Fourth is integration coding and testing of tiny nodes and gateway. This stage also will cover stress, security, data integrity and non-functional tests. 5. Fifth is integration coding and testing of gateway and back-end server. Comprehensive tests will be done. 6. Sixth is the end-to-end integration of the system. Same test categories will be implemented.
