We have created a prototype GUI builder, called DMGB, that enables a user to deploy widgets on a blank form using drag and drop. Four widget types are supported in the prototype (Label, Check Box, Text and Radio Button). DMGB is written in Java and uses the SWT toolkit. The design of the program is modular and straightforward; it can be understood easily. DMGB has 2 independent forms: A ‘Palette’ and a ‘Canvas’.
