Hi,
We need a freelancer that has access to an oculus quest device to work on an asset we have within Unity, specifically the procedural animations of the local and remote avatars.
The game is complete apart from the remote avatar movement looks crap, and we need it to be smooth and realistic, we use Humanoid VR from the asset store within the game and the developer of the asset tells us that it should be simple enough to do.
If you have worked on something similar or are familiar with the asset that would be a bonus, but not necessary if your confident you can achieve what we need in a short amount of time.
A bit about the task:
We have local and remote avatars (full body) which are controller by the oculus headset for turning and height and the controller joystick for forward/backward and sideways movement. Turning and height work great and we want to keep that the same way, but forward and backward movement just look awful, sideways movement isn't much better. Especially on the remote networked avatar.
These are procedural animations and not controller by an animation controller, this task will require a lot more than just setting up an animation controller, you will need to dig into the Unity asset source code and improve the procedural animation, so that when the user presses forward on the joystick the remote avatar walks forward in a natural way. Same for sideways and backward movement.
