I propose to write program based on version number of the API released. We poll API test at certain interval and check if successful and so on.

I can automate the swagger definitions on Jmeter. This will be very easy to maintain and track. Have done similar work for other clients. I'll use jmeter tool to test rest APIs, Oauth will be used for authentication. all tests will be in excel/csv file to provide input to framework such as domain, path, request headers, payload, expected response. versioning will be done in csv file versions as input to framework.
