Project Description:  A  1) Read the original scenario given in the [login to view URL] and process the trace by using scripts (or you could calculate the data manually), then calculate and illustrate the values of the following performance parameters: bitrate (Kbps) of the data traffic, average throughput (Kbps), average delay (second) and average packet loss ratio (PLR) for data transmission between WiFi AP (Access Point/RSU) and WiFi User 1 i.e Vehicle node. 2) Modify the original scenario in the [login to view URL] to allow data transmission at different bitrates. Use 5 different bitrate levels: 1Mbps, 5Mbps, 10Mbps, 15Mbps and 20 Mbps for WiFi User 1(Vehicle node) traffic and show the results of the same parameters: average throughput (Kbps), average delay (second) and average PLR (packet loss ratio) between WiFi AP and WiFi User 1, separately for each case.  B 3)  Only modify the original scenario in [login to view URL] to change the distance between WiFi AP and WiFi User 1. Set the distance to different values between 0 to 200 metres (step = 20 meters, e.g. 0, 20, 40, 60,…) and test data [login to view URL] the performance parameters of data transmission (average throughput, average delay and average PLR) against increasing distance between WiFi AP and WiFi User 1. ( Use Excel to plot the graphs.)  C  1) Change the configuration in the original scenario by adding another WiFi User (e.g. WiFi User 2 means vehicle node 2) into this scenario and set up new downlink data traffic for User 2 from AP. The distance of User 2 from WiFi AP is the same as User 1’s (default: 50 metres). Traffic bitrates of both User 1 and User 2 are 1Mbps, respectively. Run this scenario and show the results in terms of average throughput, average delay and average Packet Loss Ratio for both users.  2) Next add more users to this scenario, maintaining the same distance from the AP and the same bitrates for the data traffic. Just increase the WiFi user numbers from 1, 5, 10, 15 to 25, and keep the bit rate to1Mbps for each user. And then test those Users at different distances from the AP (from 0 to 200 meters in steps of 20 meters).  Finally please plot the average throughputs (for different numbers of users) against distance, average delays (different numbers of users) against distance and the Packet Loss Ratios(different numbers of users) against distance separately. Use the script provided to automate running the simulations at different distances. And do the same thing for the LTE Network. You donot need to write a [login to view URL] or [login to view URL] code its already made. All you have to do is to do some simple modifications in the code given and produce the comparative results. To get familiar with NS3 on these you may run the program available in example of Wifi and LTE module to see how ns3 works. You may use the NetAnim 1.07 or GNU plot to plot the graph directly from NS3.
