Oracle Report 6i Hangs upon closing report

I have over fifteen years of database design, development and administration experience using oracle database (8 to 11g) and different other tools. Started as a trainee developer to work with forms and reports and that I did quite well with Developer 2000 Rel 2.1 and Oracle Developer Rel 6. In addition to that I also used to take part in the schema management and control. By the time I had over three years of experience, Started taking active part in database configuration and administration. Then had exposure of working as a regular DBA for 9i database on Windows 2000 server. It was hosting a production system for a textile manufacturing concern and was supposed to run uninterruptedly round the clock. In addition to configuration and monitoring, I also became familiar with tuning of the system both at database end as well optimization of the application components that were built in Developer 6i. Later had the opportunity to work as a consultant with a defense organization that was working with a variety of domains. Started as a team lead with grooming of resources to work with forms and reports (10g Dev Suite). Built custom application for MIS component of the project. Later assigned to manage the database (10g initially) running on Red Hat Linux. For the last five years, I have been configuring, monitoring and tuning 10g/11g RAC databases in their data center.
