Edit code of working program so it runs with out hardware

Im looking for somone familiar with reverse engineering , debugging to trace and edit some code to allow a program to run without performing the hardware self check. So basically i have a cnc motion control program that is paired with a pci based hardware adapter Currently the it will not run unless the pci card is present and i would like to change it so it runs with or without the card present
