I need a short-term research assistant for an enterprise survey in Bangkok

Currently Mekong Economics is undertaking a regional research and consulting project with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) covering India, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. The ADB is keen to promote regional integration between India and the Mekong region, especially in light of the recent withdrawal of the US from the TPP negotiations. Specifically, we are looking to promote Indo-Mekong Foreign Direct Investment, zoning in on investment between small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Our research will ultimately result in: (1) recommendations for government, private sector and development actors; and (2) a proposal that would sketch the basis of an ADB-funded regional integration programme, for instance, the establishment of a business incubator in India to facilitate SME internationalisation. We need a local short-term consultant, who is fluent in English, for the following tasks: · [TASK 1] to help arrange interviews with SMEs, and accompany our country researcher to these interviews (to translate, if needed, and to take notes and type up the notes). These SMEs are those who conduct/receive foreign investment or are otherwise considered inclined to invest [estimated 10 working days]. · [TASK 2] to conduct some interviews by themselves, and to write up the notes as a mini-case study in English (one-page per interview) [estimated 10 working days]. The consultant is expected to provide part-time inputs in October and November. Remuneration is based on experience but it will be in the range of $80 to $90 per day. We will pay for local transport, and for incentives to interviewees.
