I am the head of a team of 4 scientists in Sydney including 2 bioinformaticians and 2 wet-lab
scientists. I manage their funding, career paths and publications. I am also currently employed by
the French government to help in the setup of a bioinformatics platform in Montpellier. Here my
role is to ensure that the bioinformatics workflow from reception of data off Illumina sequencers to
customer reports are correctly versioned, documented, and that our analysis methods are state of the
art. Types of analysis include RNA-seq, methyl-seq, DNA resequencing, small RNA-sequencing.
I have been consulting for Genea since 2010 without interruption. I deliver bioinformatics and
statistical advice on mutation analysis and copy number variation. I also develop software to
remotely connect to their sequencers, associate clinical data to abnormal genetic conditions and
format meaningful output for clinicians.
