Lead/Manager C / PHP Programmer ( Individuals ONLY ) - Medical business apps 40+hrs a week, long-term work. Lead team of 3+ developers Must have : - Good spoken English, we use Hangouts/GotoMeeting often. - Understand pointers, pointers to functions, pointers to structures, pointers to functions within a structure. - Must know PostgreSQL - Programming in POSIX environment - Linux Administration - Git Administration - Be able to write clean clear C code, and modify existing C code - Be able to dedicate 40+ hours a week for an extended period of time (years) - Experience in Medical, business, HL7 and EDI preferred - A work style that is extremely detail oriented - Strong communication skills - A complete Elance profile - References or an established reputation Job Description: MDxperence is an Austin Texas USA based Medical solutions company looking for 1 or more developers with strong C code experience. We provide ASP service to medical offices in the US. Our Practice Management (PM) solution is approx 80% complete. The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) solution is approx 25% complete. Electronic prescriptions and patient portal are <10% complete. We interface to our clients via a proprietary thin client we call ThinWin which runs on PCs, Macs, and Linux, Soon to be on Android and IOS. The C applications communicate with the clients via a socket connection, using an existing set of C functions. We utilize Postgresql as our database engine. All code is developed on our Linux servers using Vi or similar text/Code editor. All code is text based and we do not use any code designers. The nature of our industry requires constant program enhancements so the selected developer(s) could work with us for many years. Your responsibilities: - Review business application requirements with our product manager. - Write clean, modular, robust code to implement the desired requirements - Write documentation or resources for the application as required - Understand and adhere to all customer or client policies and procedures
