Hi! I need to add a 'suite' to my site that will let us create business card templates so the user can input data and a jpg+json is generated aftewards. The input can also be an excel file that will generate those pairs in batch mode. We think the project is not too complex but has a decent amount of fine tuning. I am sure there will be more development to come after this is in place. Our initial budget for this task is $1,500 to $2,500. More details: As I have imagined (open to discussion) is that there are threee web modules (tabs, for example): 1/ Template creation: Add a background image (changeable) and place input fields on the canvas. Adjust all CSS format parameters for the fields and we need to be able to concatenate some text to the field and be able to jump the line or not in case data reaches the end. The concatenation is neccesary as sometimes data comes along some fixed text, e.g. "Fixed line: 123 456". We need to be able to say: "Fixed line: "+[fixedlinenumber] The fields are gotten from an uploaded Excel file. There is one challenging bit here: the problem we find many times is that data in a business card is tricky to automate, especially in cases where the fields move around. If a card has a mobile number and below a fixed one, we need to move the fixed up to use the space left by the missing mobile. Fields have to flow, and sometimes in the same line. I have imagined this as a 'group' of fields where placeholders for the fields are added, inline or in different lines depending on the card and then be drawn in case data is provided or dissapear in the opposite case. The templates will be HTML files that can be reopened, modified and saved as... 2/ Mapping relations: Anohter tab will provide a way to relate the fields used in the template creation to a list of predefined JSON fields so the output JSON file knows where to take the info from. This relations should be stored in a file that can be reopened and saved as... 3/ JPG & JSON creation In the last module, the template is opened and the user can fill all the data or an Excel file can be uploaded to provide information to the template. The relations file is used to map the conversion to from the Excel fields to the JSON. Then, on Save, a JPG and a JSON (named "name [login to view URL]" and "name [login to view URL]" files or a list of pairs are generated and sent to somewhere in the server for further processing. The best way to understand the template creation is to see the images uploaded. If you can imagine a way to automate the creation of those cards (either from direct form input or feeded from an Excel file), that's what we need. There are still some bits and pieces to define (especially regarding the integration with our systems, we have our site coded in Ruby on Rails, HTML, bootstrap) but roughly this is the project.
