Fix PHP forms on x-cart software using their smarty template system

We recently upgraded our x-cart software and are having an issue with reading our php forms that are assigned to a static html page. We originally wrapped the form codes in a php tag inside of the content tpl and they worked fine. We need the forms to show up again. Samples of the old code and forms are attached. This should be a quick fix according to x-carts support message also attached. Our problem: In our old site we had custom code to use php pages rather than static pages when we needed to run php forms. We had the code in the [login to view URL] file and it worked fine. Now when we implement the code we get a white screen. Is there something different with this cart for using PHP? Please see the code snippet below: ... Is there an easier way to use PHP on a static page? x-cart support operator with solution: The smarty engine in the x-cart v4.7.3 doesn't allow to use the "{php}" smarty tags in the templates due the security settings.
