Edit some code | UTF8 and XML Nodes

Hello! I need edit some code in PHP. I will list the repairs. I have a system that is responsible for assigning values to variables from a post method in php to generate a .XML document in turn consumes a web service provider to send the .xml and that the provider return a .pdf. Some values are stored in SQL and others are posted with the method, somewhere special characters are distorted and interpreted as HTML code. 1.- Declare the array data to UTF-8, actually the characters is not encode. So the result for the .PDF is disable the specials characters (Acents, quotes, etc.) The same system variables assigned functions that add new nodes to .XML format. It goes something like this: PHP. $ transfers = $ fel-> addNode ('Taxation') XML Gerated. addNode function ($ type) {$ n = new Node ($ type); return $ this-> children [] = $ n; } This works great, but I want to add and assign some children to the nodes indicated. 2.- Generated on the same .XML via PHP whit new childrens of childrens.
